‘Song of my Soil is one of the most intriguing projects undertaken
in de field of video. It is a plastic chromakey symphony that participates
in Wagner’s musical chromatic totality: continuous melodies
in which leitmotivs function as the musical materialization of ideas.
Such interplay of forces from image and sound associations is the
idealsource of inspiration for the Theys brothers to start up a gigantic
allegoric parable of our times (and the media as its primary expression).”
